The second Israeli offshore bid round closed in July 2019 around 8 months after it was launched.
The 2nd licensing round closed with the granting of 12 new exploration licenses in Israeli waters.
On Monday, October 28th, 2019 the Minister of Energy Dr. Yuval Steinitz granted the 8 licenses (Zones A & C) to the British companies Cairn and Pharos and the Israeli company Ratio. Energean and Israel Opportunity received 4 licenses (Zone D).
