Data Packages

The data package prepared for the participants in this bid contains comprehensive information on the Levant Basin’s geology including highlights of the Petroleum System and Basin Analysis study performed by Beicip FranLab in 2015.  Other data types are regional 2D seismic and well data, bathymetric, gravity and magnetic grids and selected regional report.  For more detailed information on the content of the package see below.

Purchasing the data package is a pre-condition for the participation in the bid round.

In order to receive the data package, one has to transfer the Fee of US$ 50,000.00 to the bank account of the Ministry of National Infrastructure, Energy and Water Resources via the correspondent bank, according to the details below. Wells

The data package contains information and data from 20 wells that were drilled offshore Israel between the 1970 and 2013 (See list of wells and location map below).  The package includes wireline log data in LAS format, composite logs, End of Well reports and for some wells, also additional technical reports and information.  Most of the wells are located in the eastern part of the offshore area outside of the bid area, however, many of these penetrated the Mesozoic section and therefore provide insight on the early evolution of the Levant Basin.

2D Seismic data

The offshore area of Israel is covered by numerous 2D seismic lines that were acquired between the 1970 and 2008 (See coverage map in Data and Maps).  The data package for the first bid round contains regional, high-quality 2D seismic data sets that were acquired by TGS-NOPEC in 2001 and in 2008.  These two surveys that are processed in time domain cover the entire bid area.  The package comprises of time migrated stacked lines in SGY files.  X/Y coordinates are edited within the trace headers and the lines are ready to be loaded into any standard interpretation station.  Raw, field tapes can be purchased for additional cost.
