The agreement on establishing East-Med pipeline signed in Athens

On January 2, 2020 Israel, Greece, Cyprus signed the agreement on launching the process of establishing strategic East-Med gas pipeline lasting about 200 km (of which about 550 km onshore and about 1550 km marine).

On January 2, 2020 Israel, Greece, Cyprus signed the agreement on launching the process of establishing strategic East-Med gas pipeline lasting about 200 km (of which about 550 km onshore and about 1550 km marine).

The pipeline will allow the export of natural gas discovered in the EEZ of Israel and Cyprus to Europe and will connect the entire Eastern Mediterranean basin to one export system.

The pipeline is strengthening the State of Israel's position in regional economics and transform the country into active and significant partner in the European energy market.
